Land Sheriffs began its long 25-year history when the Founder had to face the reality of an illegal encampment behind his own home. In the absence of effective support from local council or police, he was prompted to clear the land and move the encampment on and so Land Sheriffs was born.
From 1985 – 2004 Land Sheriffs became a successful land eviction specialist, but in late 2004 the company decided to move into the security sector full time and so began a new division of Land Sheriffs in 2005 when they secured their first major contract with Network Rail (CTRL) Ltd - now known as Network Rail (High Speed). They have been protecting and providing security solutions to NRHS ever since.
Since 2005, and still headquartered in Essex, Land Sheriffs has established itself as an industry leading company with multiple accreditations and awards coupled with an enviable record.
Their successes in the industry has seen them grow from 2 to 150 employees in 13 years, and they are confident of securing more contracts in 2018 and beyond.
Land Sheriffs today is a trusted company with large contracts and partnerships with well-known large blue chip organisations many of which they have been working with for a long time.
Having been winners of 2 categories in recent Harlow Business Awards, in 2018 they are Sponsors of the “Employee of the Year” category.
