Colourful, atmospheric paintings by Helen Ryan in acrylic paint and mixed media use shape, form and gestural marks to convey the energetic balance between freedom and control. With these pieces she recreates her most loved places as they appear now and via the lens of memory.

Ceramics by Nigel Earle complement the paintings, using form, texture and colour also drawn from a pool of memory, experience and imagination. His pieces are influenced by landscape, geology, architecture and industrial archaeology. They rely on the natural character of different clays, with textures suggesting a certain ageing and weathering, and glazes and colours applied quite sparingly.
