An Online Gallery is now being presented by The Gallery at Parndon Mill for all those who enjoy the arts and miss the exhibitions there. The fine arts are represented as well as skilled craft work in many different styles and media - an array of artworks which are a delight to view and a joy to purchase
On view are colourful paintings and original prints by talented artists, some who have studios here at Parndon Mill and others who work locally. The crafts are represented by ceramics and glass including some pieces which are useful in the kitchen or dining room, others which are purely decorative, and some which are amusing and quirky. Four jewellers present a range of pieces in silver, glass and semi-precious stones. Textiles include scarves, purses and pictures in stitch. More unusual pieces are paintings on wood blocks and stone carved lettering.
A special feature of this exhibition is sculpture which turns on screen to show all facets. The artists are Gerda Rubinstein and John Farnham, sculptors who are both well known nationally and particularly in Harlow and the local area.
There is a lot of variety and beautiful objects to look at or choose to buy.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities.
The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.
On Small Business Saturday, customers across the U.K go out and support all types of small businesses, online, in offices and in stores. Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.
Mosaic Recruitment are offering a to organisations who are faced with the challenge of recruiting and onboarding remotely.
HARLOW Council is encouraging businesses to take up the opportunity of government funding to create 6-month work placements for young people.
The government Kickstart scheme aims to support 16 to 24 year olds into employment who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.
For each job placement, funding will cover:
• 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours a week for a total of 6 months
• Employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions
Employers of all sizes can apply for funding. Employers can spread the start date of the job placements up until the end of December 2021.
Applications to the Kickstart Scheme have to be made for at least 30 job placements at a time. Businesses unable to provide that many job placements must use an intermediary who will gather together opportunities from a number of small businesses. Harlow Council is acting as an intermediary for the scheme. You can register your interest by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Further funding is available for training and support so that young people on the scheme can get a job in the future.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) praised the scheme, but said the application process needed to be easier to encourage more businesses to participate.
“Rooted in local business communities across the UK, Chambers are playing a leading role in connecting businesses with young people to create long-term quality employment opportunities. They will want to see the application process simplified,” said BCC director of policy James Martin.
